Our new Gin bar, sponsored by Prairie Schooner Taphouse, Urmston features one gin from each of the five main flavour profi les, each from a North West distillery.

We also have three different tonics from the up-coming Artisan Drinks Company. You can follow our recommendations for garnish or try your own combinations.

DRY

Manchester Three Rivers
Punchy yet smooth, made under railway arches near Victoria Station. Well-balanced with a combination of 11 botanicals. We recommend you garnish it with rosemary. One to try with the Violet Blossom tonic?

CITRUS

Meadows Botanical Gin
A soft, well-rounded gin from residents of Trafford who were inspired by walks through Urmston Meadows along the Mersey. The sharp taste of orange, lemon and lime, softened by subtle hand-selected spices. Garnish with lemon.

FLORAL

Evolution Colour Ghange Gin
Lavender is prominent in this gin from another Trafford resident. Its unique feature is the use of a natural botanical that turns the colour of the gin from purple to pink when tonic is added. Garnish with blueberries. Why not try it with the Violet Blossom tonic?

FRUITY

Brindle Distillery – Cuckoo Sunshine
Made with raspberries and honey by a farmhouse operation in Lancashire that grows the grain used to distil the spirit. Garnish with lemon and soft fruit.

HERBAL/SPICY

G&J Greenall – Thomas Dakin
Made with horseradish and pepper. Made by Greenalls in Warrington and they are opening a Manchester distillery soon. Served with orange peel and coriander leaves.
