Back by popular demand, our Gin Bar, sponsored by Prairie Schooner Taphouse, Urmston features one gin from each of the five main flavour profiles, each from a North West distillery.

We also have a selection of tonics. You can follow our recommendations for garnish or try your own combinations.

You’ll find the bar at the left hand side of the Cider & Perry. Just look for the man in black 🙂

DRY – Manchester Three Rivers Gin

Punchy juniper and spicy pepper are balanced by vanilla and cardamom. Exceptionally smooth yet
robust. Born at Manchester’s first-ever dedicated distillery. The UK’s original (and, we’d argue,
the best) gin-making experience remains at Red Bank, while distillery operations have moved to
Carrington. Garnish with herbs and citrus.

CITRUS – Stockport Gin Twist of Lime

A citrus-forward London Dry Gin made with fresh lime peel giving a sharp and zesty citrus flavour.
You’ll find their distillery and shop in the centre of Stockport along Petersgate, where they also
offer tours and host events. Awarded Best Gin In Britain at The Gin Guide Awards 2022. Garnish with
citrus.

FLORAL – Evolution Gin

Lavender with a hint of nutmeg, plus a colour-changing natural botanical. Add tonic and watch
the gin ‘evolve’! Distiller John was born in Chorlton, lives in Urmston and distils in Stretford. He is
often spotted at artisan markets around the area. Garnish with fresh fruit.

FRUITY – Faith & Sons Raspberry and Rosehip

Sweet, tangy and vibrant thanks to the addition of fresh raspberry juice. Formerly a bartender in
Portugal, distiller Filipe has made Manchester his home but still makes sure every bottle has a drop
of Portuguese sunshine. Garnish with fresh fruit.

HERBAL/SPICY – Whitelake Gin Lime & Chilli

Whitelake are a very small local distillery producing limited edition short batch runs.
