Can you help St Clement’s…..

As regular festival attendees will know, Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival is run by Trafford & Hulme CAMRA in association with St Clement Church.

Proceeds from the festival are used to support St Clement’s work supporting the Chorlton community – over the years, funds raised by the festival have supported the maintenance of the church buildings and helped fund the creation of three halls for community use, disabled toilets, updated electrical systems, new kitchen facilities and much more.

Like many of you we are gutted there will be no festival this year. However, St Clement’s still needs help to cover the maintenance of the church during lockdown.

There is a Just Giving page where you can contribute to the shortfall in St Clement’s funding due to the pandemic and help them continue their work in the community.

Please donate if you can. Thank you!

We will meet again….

We hope that everybody out there is managing to stay safe and well in these difficult times.

It is with great sadness that we must confirm that the Chorlton Beer & CIder Festival will not take place this year. With the uncertainty of when restrictions will be lifted, we cannot proceed with organising for our planned dates in July.

While we considered rescheduling for later in the year, we concluded that when normality resumes, St Clement’s will serve our community best by resuming worship and catching up on weddings & baptisms that have been postponed during the crisis. At the same time, the pubs & bars of Chorlton will need to see you back drinking with them.

We’ll be back in 2021.

Please Stay Safe so we can see you there.

Chorlton’s new take out shops

With the Government closing all of our pubs, bars & restaurants to control the spread of COVID19, many of our local establishments are relaunching themselves offering take-away food and/or off-sales of beer & cider.

As Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival has been supported by these businesses over the years, to give a little back, we’ve started to compile a guide to how our locals are planning on seeing out the current restrictions.

We will be expanding the list to cover restaurants over the next couple of days.
