Cider Tasting – Saturday 13th July

Our popular tutored cider tasting event will return on Saturday 13th July!

Limited tickets are available for this event which will give you access to the festival site from 12pm, an hour before we open to the public.

The event will begin with an introduction from cider maker Chris Hewitt, who will give you a little of the history of traditional cider making before getting down to the tasting. You’ll be taken through the differences between different styles, tastes and varieties of traditional cider and perry – from sweet to very dry, from fruity Hereford varieties to the more earthy Northern styles.

Once you’ve learnt the basics, the bar will be opened for you to explore the cider range for yourself. You’ll get around a half an hour to sample freely before the festival opens at 1pm.

Cider & Perry 2016

Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival has always strived to bring you the very best selection of traditional ciders & perries possible and has become one of the leading cider and perry events in the north, with one of the largest ranges of any festival.

There will be over 50 varieties available sourced from some of the finest producers around.

Traditional cider is made from apples  – no syrups, concentrate, artificial gas or other additives. Perry is the same, only made from pears (there is no such thing as pear cider so don’t ask us fo it)

The following is the list of ciders and perries order for the festival. Final list available at festival subject to change.
